What’s more the results were certainly on the “Brightside” of things (sorry).
The UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show presented by Pepsi brings football and entertainment together to create one epic night, with the world’s most iconic acts performing live just minutes before the biggest match in European club football.
As globally recognised rock icons of the 21st century, the team had the pleasure of announcing that The Killers will be bringing their stadium-sized anthems to one of the world’s most prestigious sporting stages, with a high-octane performance featuring a career-spanning setlist of fan favourite hits, including global football anthem, Mr Brightside.
To announce the iconic show, The Killers featured in a short film alongside football figure, Sir David Beckham in a cheeky global launch film.
In it, we see the legendary pair in a high-stakes race to the UEFA Champions League final in Budapest, with Brandon Flowers jumping into a custom electric blue classic car and Sir David Beckham departing on his motorcycle.
The coverage was widespread with an exclusive slot on Billboard, before we made this global news by securing over 5,000 pieces of online and social coverage with an OTS of 3.2 billion.
Not too bad at all if we may say so.
This included global coverage including ESPN (India), Daily Mirror (UK), NME (UK), OneFootball (Global), Daily Mail (UK), Marca (Spain), Terra (Brazil), Tribuna (France) and Tutto Mercato (Italy).
As well as social highlights including @tntsportsbr, @VERSUS, @henrywinter and plenty more to come as we move towards matchday.
