We’ve been working on Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s first ever school photo day

We worked with GOSH Charity to bring the children’s hospital their first ever School Photo Day – working with surely the world’s most prestigious ‘school photographer’, Rankin.

To come up with an idea, we went back to the core proposition of the organisation: the charity moves mountains to ensure “no childhood is lost to serious illness”.

But we realised the children in their care were missing out on a series of rites of passage, including School Photo Day, leaving parents with a gap in their albums.

So, we took the idea to fashion photography icon, Rankin, ordered the iconic powder blue backdrop and offered the families at GOSH the chance to take part. We had a hugely positive response. Unsurprising given three quarters (76%) of parents look back at school photos to remind them of their child’s journey.

No parent wants a moment with their children forgotten, particularly those already missing out on so much.

The results speak for themselves.

A stunning gallery of school photographs, resulting in over 200 pieces of coverage (and counting, it’s still rolling in) including Good Morning Britain half-hourly bulletins, a seven minute Sky News interview feature, a raft of nationals in the likes of Daily Mail, Daily Express (print), Daily Star (print), Independent, Indy100 plus London Standard, BBC London’s Instagram and hundreds of regional titles.

More importantly, the families who took part had an experience they’ll never forget, and a keepsake to cherish.
