As much as we love a PR and marketing award, itโs always particularly lovely to see your work up for gongs in the industry showcases where it competes with campaigns from across a sector that youโre passionate about.
Which made it all the more special that we picked up Marketing Campaign of the Year at the Sports Business Awards for our work with The FA – against some of the stiffest competition in the sports industry.
It was also pretty special that the very next announcement at the show saw our work with Carlsberg – Thank You Jurgen – scooped a Bronze award for Best Use of Video or Documentary.
Our “Thank You Jurgen” work for Carlsberg saw us collect โthank youโsโ from fans around the world as Klopp left Liverpool after a phenomenal run with the club. The campaign went out world-wide and delivered both amazing editorial coverage and cracking traction across social channels.
Our Gold Award winner was First Time Fans which saw the team capture the reactions of fans who had never been to a football match and experienced Wembley for the first time at the same point that Thomas Tuchel took to the pitch for the first time himself. It went on to rack-up over 10 million views.
It’s a huge testament to our work across the world of sport – which now sees us work with the LTA, IMG’s Hurlingham Tennis, Toyota’s cricket work, Lexus’ tennis work, football with Pepsi, Carlsberg and Lavazza. It’s a burgeoning area for us and we’re super-proud to be bringing our creative take on PR to the category and doing so at ever-greater scale.
