So, we launched the ‘Unofficial Housemate Rulebook’ with study app Quizlet, to help students across the country better navigate the various trials and tribulations of living in shared accommodation for the very first time.
We teamed up with The Inbetweeners and Fresh Meat actor Joe Thomas to be the face of the campaign, who shared his experiences of living with co-star Simon Bird at the University of Cambridge during some top tier interviews with the likes of Daily Mirror, The Sun and LADBible.
A spot of research found that the majority have lived with or are currently living with a housemate from hell, and that leaving dirty dishes in the sink for days topped the list of red flags, leading to hits on the Mirror, Daily Star, Daily Mail (print), The Sun on Sunday (print), Sunday People (print) and the London Standard, among others.
In total, the team secured 60 pieces of coverage, including 18 nationals across print and online. Completed it, mate!
