Our work with the Campaign Against Living Miserably has won two golds and a bronze at the coolest award show in the world

Is it bad to enter an awards show mainly because you think the trophy is perhaps the coolest you could ever hope to display on the shelves of your office? We genuinely think not.

Which is one of the reasons why we’re quite so excited that we’ll have three Kinsale Shark Awards – the “trophy that looks most like Jaws” – adorn our reception space in pride of place.

The work won three awards across the Ambient, PR and non-traditional category including Ambient Special Build (Gold); Events, Stunts, Live Brand of Interactive Experience (Bronze); and for PR / Tactical News Story (Gold).

For those not familiar with the campaign, we โ€“ an agency team including Adam&Eve/DDB, the7Stars, Creative Giants, ITV and the team at Hope&Glory โ€“ alighted on the statistic that suicide is now the leading cause of death for people under 34 in the UK, with women under the age of 24 forming the fastest-growing group in history at risk of taking their own lives.

โ€œMissed birthdaysโ€ highlighted how 6,929 young people died by suicide in the past decade with an installation at Westfield London featuring the same number of balloons illustrating the birthdays young people didnโ€™t get to celebrate.

Visitors walked through the installation and heard intimate voice notes from loved ones who have lost a young person to suicide, describing what they were like and what they hope to achieve in being part of the โ€œMissed Birthdaysโ€ campaign.

It was highly impactful work and a campaign that we remain intensely proud to have been part of.
