To show-off the fact that you can book just about any form of transport via Uber we found ourselves creating Uber Yacht in the White Isle …

Over the last six months or more we’ve been working with Uber across a whole range of campaigns that aim to show the app is more than just rides. It’s now bikes, planes, trains, coaches and just about any other means of transport you can think of – along with rides of course.

We came up with the “Go Anywhere” platform – a set of on-going campaigns globally and in local markets that would help bring this proposition to life to consumers through culturally-relevant campaigns activated through the year.

The whole thing kicked off in earnest way back last year with the King’s coronation and the team offering “Coronation Carriage” rides to those attending.

More recently we launched Uber Balloon in Capadocia, Turkey to bring the campaign alive on an EMEA-wide scale.

Which brings us to last week when we headed to Ibiza to launch Uber Yacht – the first time that folks could book sea-going yacht rides via the Uber app in a deal we brokered with one of the finest providers on the White Isle.

Inviting 23 media from across Uber’s key markets, journalists got to taste the experience for themselves before we launched in on an unexpecting public.

As you can likely imagine, the coverage went wild with stand-out pieces across major titles including Evening Standard, Robb Report, Forbes, Luxury Launches, Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Harpers Bazaar Asia, Fox Business, CNBC, Fast Company, Euronews, Gulf Business … and a huge host of other titles global and local.

Here’s a little showreel that brings the whole thing to life …
